Two new session videos
In the winter of 2015 we recorded two new session videos in collaboration with german production company “smART session clips“. The first video is a session version of the song „You’re my woman“ a song that was already released on our first Long Player in May 2015. A fresh, overdub-free, version of this pure rocksteady tune.
After a long shooting day for „You’re my woman“ we recorded a one shot bonus video for our fresh and yet unreleased song „Démocratie“.
The location for the shooting is one of Darmstadt’s finest studios, the famous „Klangkantine“ Studios, which rooms offer the perfect living room atmosphere we were searching for.
There used to be a young boy
Standing right in front of me
He was full of hope and wisdom
He didn’t hate none of his brothers say
I’ve got one pair of shoe and a long way to go
So many roads and so little I know
I’ve got a heavy load to carry, lots of love to give
I’m just another human being facing the sunset on the hill
Everywhere I’ve been
I’ve seen struggle and war
Mankind is rotten by its sins and take it too far
Rich wanna stay rich, poor no want fi poor now
One day you win, one day you lose
I got my pride and my ego and my will to survive
I got my fists and my strength I’ve got my anger and my might
I’ve got my voice and my laugh and my silly way to dance
I like to drink your drink and I share my bread with you my brother

Ease Up Ltd. play authentic Reggae music and seasons it with a dash of Ska and a litlle bit of Dancehall. Nonetheless their influences are mostly to be found in the 80s and 90s Rootsreggae. The actual outfit was founded from the remains of „Riddim Revolution“, a Reggaecombo from Darmstadt/Germany that diverged in 2007. After welcoming two new musicians on drums and keyboards in 2007 and completing the horn section with a trombone player, the band found itself a new singer who brought new input as well as a new approach, partially due to his french origin. Ease Up Ltd. now has a fresh, eclectic programm which they perform with great joy and together with their audiences they celebrate each gig with great enthusiasm and energy.
